My Go To Glow

Hey everyone!

Today I am going to show you all the products that I use to create the perfect glow. There are quite a few, so lets get started.

Also, just incase you missed yesterdays post, click here for my etsy shop(bloggingbling) where you can buy blog post planners, there will be more up soon.

Mac Prep and Prime Highlighter- Radiant Rose

This product is more of a ‘glow’ highlighter than a shimmery or highly visible one. You can use it under you eyes or on your cheekbones, nose, cupids bow, forehead, chin, etc. Radiant Rose is a pink toned one.

This product is not noticeably shimmery so it looks more matte than dewy, which is different but stunning if you are looking for a subtle highlight or glow.

This is long wearing and can be worn under or over foundation, or on it’s own maybe! It’s easy to blend and even though the price is high, the product is easy to apply because of the click brush. There are two more colours I believe.

Pros-

  • Subtle
  • Versatile
  • Can be used as concealer
  • Not over powering
  • Long wearing
  • Easy to apply
  • Sleek Packaging

Cons-

  • Pricey, but it’s Mac so….

Benefit High Beam

This is a very, in your face and bright highlighter. It is a pinky toned liquid highlighter which is shimmery. It can be applied in all of the places that highlighter can be applied, as listed.

This product is noticeably shimmery and is beautiful under or over foundation. If you are looking for a two way highlighter (natural and wow!) then you can just wear this under or over different products to create the perfect look.

This product comes in a nail polish bottle form and is easy to apply anywhere in dots and then blends so beautifully. It is also very long wearing for a highlighter.

Pros-

  • Can be subtle under makeup
  • Can be bright over makeup
  • You get a lot for your money
  • Long wearing
  • Easy to apply and blend
  • Cool packaging design

Cons-

  • A lot of money

Benefit Watts Up

This is a beautiful champagne toned stick form highlighter. It’s so easy to apply and blend. Why the colour may look too dark on some fair skin toned, it lightens when blended.

This definitely more subtle than high beam but can still give a beautiful finish. The product glides on so smoothly and blends so easily.

This product is long wearing and even though it looks like you don’t get much product, it actually lasts for ages.

This is pretty much my favourite packaging of all highlighters and it comes with a little sponge tip to blend it, but I don’t use this because I find that is not soft enough.

Pros-

  • Champagne colour
  • Easy to blend
  • Get a lot of product
  • Easy to blend
  • Subtle
  • Long Wearing
  • Amazing packaging

No cons!

Revolution Blush Palette- Blush Goddess

This is a blush palette but it has 4 baked blushes that are similar to highlighters. They are so beautiful that the swatches don’t bring out their true colour. They are long wearing, easy to apply and SO affordable.

Pros-

  • Stunning highlighters
  • Different tones
  • Super affordable
  • Long wearing
  • Easy to apply and blend

No cons!

Sleek Contour Kit- Light

This is a beautiful powder highlight which is so pigmented but so beautiful. Also, you get a bronzer which is a bonus. For the price, this is a brilliant.

It is really long wearing for a powder highlight and it looks beautiful, especially in natural light. It is definitely a nice addition to anyone’s highlighter collection.

The packaging is sleek and it comes with a mirror, always a good thing!

Pros-

  • Beautiful colour
  • Sleek packaging
  • Comes with a bronzer
  • Has a mirror
