In today’s post I am showing you how you can easily wear an Autumn Lip. Autumn and Winter lips tend to be darker and I know that some people struggle with finding outfits or eye looks to pair with these types of lipsticks.
Darker Lip= Natural Eyes
If you are looking to wear a darker lip for an everyday kind of look, maybe at first, try a no makeup- makeup look for your eyes, that way, not too much attention is drawn too quickly to your makeup. However, as you start by doing this, you can eventually start trying more dramatic eye looks. This is a tip that always works for me whenever I want to go out with a more daring lip colour.
Make The Lip The Statement
If you like to dress simple, make your lips stand out by wearing a darker or brighter colour. This can add more colour and make a boring outfit look ten times better. This can also pull your outfit together rather than adding more accessories.
Adding a bold lip can be a quick fix to make your outfit look more exciting and that you have spent more time on planning your look that day. I really like this for when I’m in a rush because it saves so much more time.
Choosing The Colour For You
If you are just starting to wear darker lip colours, I recommend going for a lighter colour that has red or purple undertones. Depending on your skintone, you can choose. If you are feeling like you do not suit a darker colour, go for something that is more sheer and wear it on the days that you are not going out as much and slowly build your confidence.
If you have a darker colour that you really like but you feel like it is a bit dark for you, pair a lighter lipstick over it until you feel a bit more comfortable. I really like putting Mac Viva Glam II over darker lipticks for everyday wear sometimes as I don’t really wear that Mac lipstick on it’s own.
Howvever, if you like to experiment more, go for a deep plum or berry colour! It’s up to you!
