Foundation- Estée Lauder VS Mac

Hey everyone!

Today’s post is a foundation show- Estée Lauder vs Mac. The foundations will be Estée Lauder Double Wear(shade 1c1 Cool Bone) and Mac Studio Fix Fluid(shade NW13).

Mac Studio Fix Fluid

I have recently been absolutely loving this foundation! The colour match is perfect for my skintone. There are a huge range of colours available which is great because you will be able to find your perfect shade. I went off of this foundation for a while because as the weather got warmer my skin got oilier, causing it not to stay on as long as I wanted and needed it to. However, moving into the Autumn months, my skin has not been as oily so I needed a foundation which is not a drying or thick. I decided to try this one again for a few days and I really, really like it.

It stays on my face for ages and the finish is a nice matte finish, perfect for any skin type. This foundation does not dry my skin out but does not make it look oily either. I really love the build-able coverage that it gives, you can go for a lighter coverage or a full coverage. This foundation is a great price for a higher end foundation, £22 roughly. This foundation comes in a bottle with a screw on lid but I purchased a pump which was £4.50. I prefer using this foundation with a brush as I find that it gives the most coverage, more than a sponge. I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush from their core collection.

If you are looking for a great foundation that isn’t too expensive then I definitely recommend this one.

Estee Lauder Double Wear

As of at the moment, I would class this as my most long wearing summer foundation. Recently as my skin has got a bit more dryer, it has been going patchy as I was putting it on, so I will leave it in the colder months and use it again in the summer months. I thought this foundation was one that I would use forever but at the moment, I can’t use it and I prefer my Mac one.

However, the long wear on this is absolutely incredible! With my oily skin in the summer, I don’t have to reapply this and it will last ALL day. If you have super oily skin all year round then I definitely recommend this for you. If you have dry skin then this may not be for you as it is quite a thick and drying so it can last all day.

I love the finish and the full coverage of this foundation that I don’t even need concealer, but I used it anyway. It doesn’t oxidise or break up on my face so that is always a good thing. This also comes in a bottle with a screw on lid but I didn’t mind but I used a small brush to distribute the product round my face and then blended it in with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush from their Core Collection.

At the moment, in the colder months I prefer my Mac Studio Fix one but in the summer, definitely my Estée Lauder Double Wear. The packaging of both of these products are both bottle but for my Mac one I bought a pump as it is easier. I both need around the same amount of products to cover my whole face and I prefer applying both of these with a brush.

My choice varies depending on the weather and what time of year it is. Moreover, at the moment, Mac is going above all.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed! I really hope this has helped you as well! Also I am at nearly 600 followers!!

Theres nothing worse than looking in the mirror to look at yourself and finding that parts of your face seem to have crumbled away and a different shade completely x
