NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams VS Butter Glosses

Hey everyone!

Firstly I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the love you are giving my blog. I love my little community, well it is very big now! I have nearly 700 followers which seems so unreal! There will be a giveaway at 1,000 so stay tuned for when that happens. xx.

Today’s post is a review of Nyx’s Soft Matte Lip Creams and their Butter Glosses. I will tell you which I prefer and how they compare! Nyx has only been available in stores for a while now in the UK, so my collection is growing. If you have any colour recommendations then please let me know!

Soft Matte Lip Creams

These are amazing, honestly! I love a matte lip but sometimes they annoy me when my lips dry out. However, the lip creams look really matte but you can’t even feel that you are wearing a matte lipstick, which is really great. They make my lips soft to the touch and never get crumbly and chapped.

They are really long wearing and they leave a little stain on your lips once it has worn off. The lip creams are quite thick so they plump your lips a bit which I personally like. You can build up the colour to make it darker and more pigmented. This creates a versatile lip colour, creating more looks for your money.

They apply really easily and don’t take long to dry down at all. This is really good because it doesn’t feel sticky.

These are so inexpensive and are available in a whole range of colours- ranging from nude shades to deep colours.

I have the colours Cannes (A pinky red) and Istanbul (A baby pink) and I hope to get more! Here are swatches-

Butter Glosses

I have had two butter glosses for nearly a year now. I haven’t worn them as much as I would have liked to because matte lips have become really popular but I really love these glosses. If you like wearing glosses then these are perfect!

They are not sticky and the colour lasts a decent about of time on the lips. The glosses are quite thick as well so the colour payoff is really pigmented, especially for a gloss. The colours are not sheer so they look really true to colour.

They apply really smoothly, and again they have a really nice colour selection.

They are really affordable and last ages!

I have the colours Eclair (A light pink) and Merengue (A purple toned pink). Here are swatches-

Sorry about the quality, the sending ruined the quality.

Overall, at the moment I prefer the Soft Matte Lip Creams because matte lips are trending at the moment. However they are both amazing and retail for Β£5.50.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
